Lifelong Dreams

In the Spirit of Homer Simpson and his lifelong dreams, I give you Matt Rose's lifelong dreams. Some I've done, some I have not. Enjoy!

Things I have done

  • Saw the animation department for "The Simpsons" - July 1998
  • Watch Nebraska win the national title in person - 1996 Fiesta Bowl, Nebraska 62, Florida 24
  • Win money in Las Vegas - OK, only about 100 bucks but it works.
  • Went to a baseball game at Wrigley Field and got to see the St. Louis Cardinals at the same time. - Twice! 1992 and 1993
  • Played an actual PGA Tour golf course - TPC of Scottsdale, home of the Phoenix Open, in April 1998.
  • Met and hosted my soulmate, Ms. Tammy Hocking of Melbourne, Australia. July 1998
  • Went and saw Rush in concert - June 1992
  • Made a hole-in-one in golf - Also done this twice.

    Those that haven't happened yet

  • To meet the cast of "The Simpsons" and watch them record an episode.
  • To be a contestant on "The Price is Right" and win the Showcase Showdown
  • To be the drummer in a successful rock outfit and play on albums.
  • To visit Melbourne, Australia and be reunited with my soulmate.
  • To attend The Masters in person
  • To play Pebble Beach and Augusta National
  • To make a double-eagle in golf (2 strokes on a par-five)
  • To meet South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and do my Cartman impression for them.
  • To witness the Spice Girls admit their talentless schmucks and split up. (also, Puff Daddy)
  • To hypnotize Eddie Van Halen and make him rehire David Lee Roth as lead singer.
  • To design and build a real golf course.
  • To lower my golf handicap to zero and shoot a score under 70.
  • To play in the U.S. Amateur or U.S. Open
  • To destroy every drum machine in existence
  • To be able to drive in Illinois without fearing for my life
  • To go to a World Series game that involves the St. Louis Cardinals.
  • To actually get good service from America Online
  • To have a Simpsons fanscript I've written turned into an episode.
  • To create, produce, act in, and compose for my own animated TV series.
